A former underground Pb-Mn occurrence/mine with underground workings located in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 27, T23S, R15E, about ½ mile north of the former Gross camp, ¼ mile NNE of the Gross Mine, at the head north side of Wild Hog Canyon, 3.5 miles ESE of Nogales International Airport, at an elevation of about 4,400 feet, on National Forest land. 1 claim known, called the Victor or West claim. It was located in June, 1904, by the owners, E.E. Bethell and partners.

Mineralization is a 2½ foot (75 cm) wide east-west vertical quartz vein between granite porphyry on the north and diorite on the south. Both of these rocks are altered near the vein, which is traceable on the surface for nearly ½ mile.

The outcrop consists of drusy banded quartz with limonite, psilomelane, and what appears to be earthy lead carbonate.

This prospect is located in the Gross Belt. The belt and foothills are separated from the steep slopes of the range by a piedmont-like valley along which the Piedmont Fault runs; it extends northward for 6 miles. eposits in the region are mainly Pb-Ag quartzitic veins which strike E-W at about right angles to the axis of the range.

Workings include cuts and shallow shafts to a depth of 15.24 meters. A 50 foot deep shaft is on the Victor or West claim.
