Large slice of the Malenco serpentinite embedded in carbonate rocks of the Lanzada-Scermendone Zone (Suretta Nappe).
Perovskite-calcite veins, that occur at an elevation of about 1350 m, between Tornadri and Dos Sciaresa, have yielded dark red-brown perovskite crystals (up to 20 mm) in association with magnetite, ilmenite, clinochlore and diopside.
