Commodity: Gold is generally very fine but one nugget weighing 24 lb was found
Deposit: Placer deposits occur in channels buried under material of the alluvial fan below the mouth of mary ann canyon. They usually occur in a stratum overlying a so-called cement, or false bedrock at several levels 1935 sampling identified 7 channels averaging 2 miles long, 60 ft wide
Deposit type: Placer Au-PGE
Development: Worked intermittently. During summer of 1907, gold bar placer co. Employed 2-4 men and the property gave a satisfactory return on investment. Worked in 1933-1935. In 1935 4000 acres north of hogum consolidated 19 separate placer holdings under the osceola gold mining corp. Mining activity in 1980.
