Abandoned sand pit with abundant blackish phosphorite nodules in layers composed of a coarse-grained gravel.
Known for shark teeth and other fossils.

Located near Linz.
Access is via the road to Plesching am Pfenningberg.

Note: The sand pit is situated in a protected natural reserve.
However, the protected flora and fauna would disappear if the remnant sand pit outcrops ("refreshed" by collecting) would be allowed to become overgrown by the normal vegetation.
