The Excelsior vein is on the south side of the Alto property. It is known and well-defined for nearly 1,000 feet and is about 3 feet wide.
Workings include several shafts, short tunnels, and drifts.It is not of relatively great importance but is reported to carry Cu-Au-Ag & Pb (a little).
