Structure: Fault
Alteration: Silicification; Argillization
Deposit: The mine is located on a diabase dike that has intruded & fault between rhyolite of the koipato formation and limestone of the star peak formation. Two shear zones occured, one on the hanging wall (between dike and rhyolite) and the other on the foot wall (between limestone and dike.) the dike is composed of labradorite, pigeonite, olivine, iddingsite and chlorite. Stibnite occurs As pods, streaks and crystals in quartz pods, veins and stringers.; model name could also be: simple sb. The mine is developed by two adits and an open cut which connects with the upper adit. The mine is located on a diabase dike which has intruded a fault between rhyolite of the koipato fm. And the star peak formation (limestone). Two shear zones occurred, one on hanging wall (between dike & rhyolite) and one on the footwall (between the limestone and dike). Dike is composed of labradorite, pigeonite, olivine, iddingsite, & chlorite. ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept; 3 field observ
Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein
Development: No apparent activity in 1984.
Geology: Stibnite occurs As pods, streaks, & crystals in quartz pods, veins, & stringers in both shear zones.
Ore(s): Two Shear Zones
