Deposit: Workings are on a n15e fissure which dips 65w, carrying small seams of iron and copper which widen in places to 2 or more ft. Ore has also been mined from a brecciated zone in the footwall of the inclined shaft, openings in which are still shot with veinlets of iron and secondary copper. Ore occurs mainly As secondary concentrations of copper filling the fissure and the brecciated limestone formations. Ore is chiefly copper with some good silver and lead. Fissure is tight with little if any replacement of the dense siliceous limestones which it cuts. Some small bodies of copper carbonate and Mn oxide ore above the 200 ft level parallel the bedding of the limestones which dip 5n. At the bottom of the shaft, crevices which enter the main fissure at an acute angle and dip 70e contain small lenses of copper carbonate ore. A quarter of a mile south of the shaft, on the home run ground, an e-trending vertical fissure developed by an inaccessible shaft about 50 ft deep and bya number of open cuts carries siliceous copper ores.
