Pb-Zn deposit hosted in the Lower Carnian "Formazione di Breno - Calcare Metallifero Bergamasco" on top of the "Calcare di Esino" platform carbonates of Ladinian age. Mineralizations are mostly stratabound, related to "breccia" infill and marine transgression after a regional paleokarst episode. Only minor vertical lodes exists, resulting from more intensive paleo-karstism and later infill.
The deposit was extensively traced and partly mined especially during World War II.
Samples of fluorite, galena, gypsum, baryte and especially wulfenite of moderate to good local interest were found up to some years ago.
Dumps are mostly hidden by vegetation and access to galleries is currently restricted.

Touristic visits are organized by a local association (updated 2006).

Exact location is within a 500 m radius from reported location (45.9000488 N, 9.395896 E, WGS84).
