A former surface and underground Pb-Ag-Cu mine located in the center-S½ sec. 22, T19S, R15E, just west of Melendreth Pass on the trail descending Sawmill Canyon, at an elevation of 5,700 feet, and 37 miles SE of Tucson. Discovered 1915.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 1 to 2 foot (0.61 meters) wide vein that strikes N-S and dips 75ºW. and has tabular ore bodies. The sulfides begin at the surface. Ore concentration was permeable fracture zones. The host rock unit is the Pinal Schist. An associated rock unit is diorite.

Local structures include regional tilting and broad open folds in teh south and extensive faulting in the north; thrust and normal faulting - fracture zones.

Workings include an incline of unknown depth. No production record available.
