A former U occurrence/mine located in the center sec. 17, T41N, R19E, G&SRM, 6.7 km (4.2 miles) N of Boot Mesa (coordinates of record), in Monument Valley.

Mineralization is uraninite hosted in a Shinarump Member of the Chinle Formation paleochannel. Local rocks include Quaternary surficial deposits, undivided.

Workings include underground openings comprised of a vertical shaft plus room and pillar mining operations.

Production was 86,369 tons of ore @0.30% U3O8; 0.06% V2O5 plus 5.41% CaCO3 maximum (1955-1964).
