A former underground gold mine located in sec. 19, T10N, R10E, about 2 miles WNW of Oxbow Estates and about 3 miles SW of Payson, on National Forest land. Per USGS lies in Payson South Quadrangle, sec. 30, T10N, R10E.
Mineralization is a gold-quartz vein less than 2 feet (0.3 meters) wide hosted in hornblendite, striking N65W and dipping 55NE. An associated rock unit is granite.
Workings include an inclined shaft which was sunk on the vein, but is now entirely caved in. An adit was driven from a point on the hillside below the shaft and is also caved. No production record.
