The Tower Rock Mine was located in T. 12 S., R. 9 E., Section 17, SE1/4, SW1/4, NE1/4 near Cave-in-Rock. The operators of the mine in 1940 were two individuals with surnames of Jones and Ginn (Weller et al., 1952).
The Tower Rock mine was a series of shafts and test pits that extended for 950 feet in a general northeast direction. Weller et al. (1952) reported that the ore produced was though that have occurred in the form of narrow veins and small replacement bodies in a silicified fault zone.
The workings here were shallow and the deepest shaft was reported to be 120 to 130 feet deep.
