A former small underground Cu-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn mine/occurrence located in the SW¼ sec. 26, T.19S., R.15E. (Sahuarita 15 minute topo map), about 2 miles SW of Greaterville, on a small gulch 1/8 mile north of Fish Canyon, at an elevation of 5,655 feet. Located 37 miles SE of Tucson. Produced 1912-1913.
Mineralization is a 2 foot wide quartz-baryte vein that dips 30º SW in granite with a tabular ore body. The croppings are stained with iron and in places with copper carbonates, which are reported to carry some silver. Host rock units include the Willow Canyon Formation of Cretaceous conglomerate-siltstone, and the Glance Conglomerate. Associated rock unit is quartz latite at 56 ± 2MY and granodiorite at 1450 ± 10MY.
Local structures include thrust and normal faulting, fracture zones, homoclinal. Regional trends include tilting and broad open folds in the south and extensive faulting in the north.
Workings include a 75 foot long crosscut tunnel, two 80 foot deep shafts and drifts. No production record.
