Detailed Mineral List:

Azurite
Formula: Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2
Habit: Botryoidal, powdery
Colour: Blue
Description: Azurite occurs at this locality within shale eroding out of a hillside. It often occurs alongside malachite and/or chalcocite. Can either take the form of a powder between layers of shale or small nodules. Also formed on petrified wood believed to be replaced by chalcocite.

Chalcocite
Formula: Cu2S
Description: Occurs as a constituent of petrified wood at the locale. Small petrified twigs coming out seem to have a notable part of them replaced by chalcocite, with secondary copper minerals forming on top such as malachite and azurite. Believed to be chalcocite due to hardness and context, as well as similar specimens being found in nearby counties.
'Fayalite-Forsterite Series'
Malachite
Formula: Cu2(CO3)(OH)2
Habit: Botryoidal
Colour: Light green
Description: Occurs as small nodules or powder within the shale. Seems to be more likely to be malachite in higher layers vs azurite, but both occur alongside each other occasionally. Noted on petrified wood believed to be secondary to alteration of chalcocite.
'Maskelynite'
