Serpentinite outcrop. The serpentinite is part of an ultrabasite body, which extends over a length of about 5.5 km, from a point south of Schneiderau to Rötenkogel mountain. To the northeast, this ultrabasite contacts amphibolites of the Habach formation.

Description: Friedrich (1953) reports 'Nickelkies' from the Wurf Alp, which could mean nickel-skutterudite ('Weißnickelkies') or nickeline ('Rotnickelkies'). According to Strasser (1989), nickeline is more likely.
