A former surface and underground Fluorspar-Mn-W-Baryte-Be mine located in SW¼SW¼SE¼ sec. 3, T7S, R32E, ob BLM-administered land. Discovered 1963. Owned by Mr. Forrest Sanders of New Mexico (1975).

Mineralization is lens-shaped ore bodies in a hydrothermal deposit in a breccia-filled shear zone. The ore zone is 61 meters long, 24 meters wide and 1.4 meters thick, striking N10E and dipping 50W. An associated rock unit is Tertiary volcanic flows. Medium and coarse fluorite occurs in brecciated veins or as a series of closely spaced veinlets interspersed through brecciated andesite porphyry and gouge. Fluorspar deposits are associated with intrusive rhyolite in andesite porphyry. Productive fuorspar occurs as erratically disposed lenses rarely exceeding 100 feet in length and 5 feet in width. Ore control was fissure vein systems at or near a contact between andesite porphyry and a rhyolite dike (Luckie No. 1); SE-trending fissure vein system in fresh andesite porphyry (Luckie No. 2). Ore concentration was fissure filling accompanied by some replacement of andesite porphyry along fault zones. Supergene enrichment of psilomelane and iron oxides; mineralization along fissure vein systems. Alteration was silicification of andesite and rhyolite.

Tectonic component is the Mule Creek Mountain foothills.
