A gold mine located North of Copperopolis, ¼ mile due East of the gap, just North of the Lehman Mountain at 4,200 feet of altitude. Owned by Gus Lehman; and, E.C. Champie.
Mineralization is granite with some pegmatite & schist. The vein strikes N.10ºW. & dips 25ºW. Upper workings show 3 parallel veins close together, 2 feet, 6 inches and 6 inches wide, respectively. Ore is massive glassy quartz stained by limonite.
Workings include 2 tunnels, 50 and 100 feet below the outcrop.
