A former underground Au-Ag-Cu mine located in the SW¼ sec. 18, T.7N., R.2W. (Red Picacho 7.5 minute topo map). Produced 1932-1936. Workingsv are also in the SE¼ sec. 13.
Mineralization is ore associated with a SE-ward-trending syncline. The vein occurs within a brecciated fault zone that strikes SE-ward and dips 20º or more NE. Vein filling consists of brecciated rhyolite with irregular stringers of grayish to pale greenish quartz. Quartz is fine-grained and dense with a few druses. The principal known oreshoot is 1½ to 3 feet thick by about 25 feet wide. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Concentration was oxidation at near surface. No alteration noted.
Area structures include bedding striking NW in volcanics. Veins are oriented NW, parallel to faults which cut volcanics.
Workings include a 25 foot deep shaft (Feb 1934) plus about 300 feet of drifts & stopes.
