Golden Hope prospect
A group of Au claims with underground workings on the Goodman vein located in sec. 25, T4N, R21W, and sec. 30, T4N, R20W, near the eastern boundary of the reservation, about 7 miles (ca. 11 km) W of Quartzsite.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with irregular orebodies in a fault zone in schist. The vein at the west end is of irregular shape. In places, it is 40 feet (12.19 meters) wide, but in a short distance it pinches to a mere seam or is cut out by faults.
Workings include 2 shafts, each about 30 feet (9.14 meters) deep, and 2 tunnels, 30 feet (ca. 9 m) and 70 feet (ca. 21 m) long, which cut the vein at shallow depths. Ore assayed at some $30 of Au/T (period values). No production record.
