Historic gold mine.
The claim adjoins to the north of the rich Klinks mine, and all the efforts at the Star of the East was to locate the continuation of this reef. The Kilnks line of lode had largely petered out by the time it reached the Star of the East. There was development work and the occasional small crushings in 1896 to 1901.
In 1900 the lease was amalgamated with Klinks.
