Historic gold mine.

So named after Harry Neeld, one of the Neeld family who discovered gold at several locations between West Wyalong and Wyalong, including this one in 1893. The mine was always operated by tributors, while the Neeld family concentrated on their Neeld No. 1 Prospecting Claim mine. The mine life was 1893-1909.

The tributors soon came to sulphides which the normal mercury amalgamation process could not handle to liberate the gold. Ore was subsequently sent to the chlorination and cyanide works erected at the main Neeld mine.

By 1909, the site was referred to as the 'old' Harry's Find, with tributors trying to locate remaining gold in the workings.

The former mine is now built over with housing.
