A U-Cu occurrence/claim located 6.3 km (3.9 miles) ESE of Agathla Peak (El Capitan) about 8 miles NE of Kayenta, on the south flank of the Agathla anticline. Under claim to B. Maher, Kayenta, Arizona. This specific locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. T&R values are not presented for this locality.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit in a paleochannel that trends N52W and is 270 feet wide and 30 feet deep. An irregular ore body hosted in Late Triassic sandstone of the Chinle Formation. It is comprised of coarse-grained, massive sandstone. Radioactivity measured by scintillometer is 10 times background. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.
