A former underground Au-Ag-Cu-Pb occurrence/mine located about ½ mile (0.8 km) West of Copperopolis at 3,400 feet of altitude. Reopened in 1917. Owned at times, or in part, by Gus Lehman; and, E.C. Champie (1917). Produced 1937-1965.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular ore body hosted in amphibolite schist, injected with pegmatite and tourmaline-quartz. The vein strikes N.20ºW. & dips 45ºSW. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration was minor Fe-staining.

Area structures include veins parallel to low-angle (less than 50 degree dip) faults which trend NW. Foliation in Precambrian schist trends N20E to N50E. Tertiary volcanics dip NE and strike NW.

Workings include 4 tunnels within a vertical distance of 200 feet (65 meters). No ore was shipped by Lehman; 4 carloads were shipped in 1917.
