A W occurrence located in secs. 7 & 18, T23S, R14E, on the divide between the Nogales Wash and the Santa Cruz River, about 2½ miles SSE of Calabasas and 10 miles North of Nogales, on private land. Discovered 1906, closed and restarted in 1913. Owned by H.B. Imus (1940).
Mineralization is coarse-grained, light gray granodiorite intruded by dikes of aplite and lamprophyre. Cutting these rocks are veins of banded, comb-textured quartz with minerals. There are many veins, all striking N.25ºW. and essentially vertical. Most are barren or low grade and most are less than 10 inches wide with a few to 2 feet wide.
Workings include several shafts 10 to 30 feet deep (prior to 1909). Produced 1,400 pounds of ore at more than 50% WO3.
