Abandoned workings on Glenloth Goldfield. Battery records exist for production from 1903-1962 of 1,798 tonne ore treated for yield of 17.39 kg at 9.67 g/t Au. The workings developed on a zone of quartz reefs, dip 45-50NE as infill in a 1-1.5m wide shear in host altered Glenloth Granite. Main workings extend for ~65m along the shear. Granite alteration marginal to the shear includes feldspar to pale green sericite. From 1984-87 there are records for production of 47gm gold. In 2006 Minotaur Exploration completed drill traverses in the area between the Glen Markie and Royal Tiger workings without encountering economic gold mineralisation.
