Deposit: File says $8,000 worth of chromite mined in 1942. This site may be in the gallagher head lake area As described in USGS buyll 1542 (p. 164-167). The most likely location is at sample sites 14 and 15, shown on fig. 45, since there is very little copper and a large pit (information taken from notes in file of 0530370417). This record is plotted at a prospect symbol about 500 ft. West of gallagher head lake, As shown on the mount stuart 7.5-min. Topo map.
