A former V-U occurrence/mine located in the center of sec. 4, T40N, R19E, G&SRM, 0.8 miles NE of Boot Mesa (coordinates of record).

Mineralization is an V-U deposit with tyuyamunite hosted in Late Triassic sandstone of the Shinarump Member Of Chinle Formation. The ore body is comprised of lenticular ore pods in paleostream channels, usually with carbonaceous debris. Uraninite occurs in an E-W-trending paleochannel, buried 350 to 400 feet. The ore zone averages 10 feet thick and is restricted to within the channel flank, generally on the southern side and only occasionally above. Local rocks include Quaternary surficial deposits, undivided.

Workings include underground openings comprised of a vertical shaft with underground workings following the E-W-trending paleochannel. Over 200 drill holes were drilled.

Production was 36,662 tons of ore @ 0.46% U3O8; 0.07% V2O5 (1957-1960 & 1965-1966).

Analysis test results: 0.51% U3O8 maximum.
