A small village with limestone (muschelkalk) of triassic period exposures along the Saal River and the site of the construction of a new massive bridge.
The rocks are rich in fossils of marine fauna, consisting mainly of mussels, oysters, brachiopods, snails, fragments of crinoids and sea urchins, as well as bone and tooth elements of vertebrates such as fish and reptiles.
The basic mineral is calcite. At some levels we can observe flat forms of flints, partly made of diatoms, clearly visible on the weathered surfaces of the flints.
