A gold prospect near the head of Benson Creek. The ore occurred in shears in slate that had been intruded by porphyry. It was developed by a few adits, the longest of which was 136'.
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit: Quartz vein 3-6 in. Wide. The type of deposit is unknown
Geology: Slate intruded by porphyry (huntting, 1956).
Rock formation(s): Harts Pass Group, Harts Pass Formation
