Structure: Pluton Of Monzonite And Quartz Monzonite Faults Cut Along And Across The Bedding
Deposit: The limestone is cut by faults both across and along bedding. Some are occupied by pegmatite dikes and sills or by quartz veins. Two ore bodies occur along two of the pegmatite sills. These are 2-3 ft wide and extend 300 ft and 1100 ft along the two sills. No scheelite is found in the pegmatites and quartz veins. The ore bodies are several hundred feet east of the granite contact.
Deposit type: W skarn
Development: No activity at time of examination in 1980. Yellow jacket was discovered by c.f. Timm of callao, utah and sold to h. F. Crutchley about 1943.
Geology: Ore bodies resemble contact metamorphic deposits 2 to 3 feet wide, extending 300 feet and 1100 feet along two of the pegmatite sills. Disseminated scheelite contained in granular quartz, carbonates, lime silicates and limonite after pyrite.
