Deposit: Discovery Year: OCT. 29, 1963
Development: 3 or 4 open adits near & behind sm. Cabin above rd. With small dumps
Geology: Behind sm. Cabin an adit explores a ls/dolomite breccia exposed at portal. The breccia contains grey calcite veined ls/dolomite fragments cemented by xtalline calcite. A deep purple breccia composed of qtz. Frags cemented by fine-graded red silica is also present on the dump & in sm cuts on ridge crest. Just below ridgecrest are several sm cuts which expose an altered & oxidized, zone marked by gouge & feox. The ls. Exposed here is silicified & cut by numerous silic. Veinlets. A resistant spine of silic ls/dolomite breccia forms the ridgecrest. The spine strikes n30-40e and is cut by a number of vertical fractures. The host rock for this deposit is prob. The hansen crk dolomite
