Deposit: Adit follows 3-4 ft thick band of massive pale garnet tactite enclosed in shaley hornfels. Metasediments strike N 30 w, dip 75-80 sw. Minor, hairline quartz veinlets cut the tactite. Granite contact is just below the adit level and to the north; granite is exposed in the drainage north of the portal. Tactite contains diopside and epidote As well As garnet.
