De Groeve next to Beckersbergske is a marl quarry in the Dutch municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul in South Limburg. The underground quarry is located south of Valkenburg on the southern edge of a forest area located on the southeastern slopes of the Heunsberg, on the northeastern edge of the Margraten Plateau in the transition to the Geuldal. At the site, the plateau plunges steeply for several meters.
About 20 meters to the south is the Beckersbergske quarry,
about 100 meters to the north is another quarry,
about 530 meters north is the Hoorensberg quarry,
about 500 meters northeast are the Gewandgroeve I and Gewandgroeve II, approximately 200 meters to the east, on the other side of the Sibbergrubbe, is the Biebosch quarry with the Kalkoven Biebosch, approximately 345 meters to the southeast is the Vallenberg quarry
and approximately 160 and 370 meters to the south respectively are the Groeve Achter Lemmekenskoel and the Groeve Lemmekenskoel.
The quarry was mined by block breakers for the extraction of limestone.
The quarry has an area of 78 square meters.
The adjacent Beckersbergske quarry was carved into the Schiepersberg Limestone from the Maastricht Formation. The quarry next to Beckersbergske was probably also carved into the Schiepersberg Limestone, or else into the Emael Limestone that lies above it.
