The Kampgroeve ("Camp Quarry") is a former quarry in Dutch South Limburg in the municipality of Vaals. The quarry is located northwest of Cottessen and south of Camerig. The Camp Quarry is located on a slope (steep wall) of a Geul valley carved out by the Geul with a side valley of the Belleterbeek at the foot of the southwestern slope of the Vijlen Plateau. Near the quarry, the Belleterbeek, the Tergraatbeek, and the Lousbergbeek flow into the Geul. The Bervesj farm is located approximately 350 meters to the south. Immediately to the west is the Heimans Quarry.

The Camp Quarry is no longer in use and is managed by the Limburgs Landschap Foundation.

Initially, rock was extracted from the quarry for the construction of houses.

After the Second World War, the quarry was expanded on a large scale to supply stones for the Bloemendaal Cemetery.

The quarry mainly contains coal sandstone from the Epen Formation, which dates from the Namurian to the Upper Carboniferous. The rock is characterized by far fewer fossils than what is found in slate. While the slate rock was originally deposited in little or no flowing water, the sandstone was deposited in more flowing water, causing plant remains to be carried away by the flowing water.

In the quarry, a clear fold can be seen in the stone layers, which is complicated by two shifts in construction. The fold coming from the Heimans quarry (west to east) slowly disappears, resulting in younger rock in an easterly direction. Two disturbances are present in the rock layers (I + II). The rock layers in the back wall of the quarry are located from top to bottom under the arable soil and weathered rock, a package of clay and sandier shale banks that are supplemented further down with sandbanks. Below this there are alternating layers of sandstone and slate, dominated by the sandstone. This is followed by a thick bank of quartzitic sandstone, a slate package, a rounded layer head of fragmented quartzitic sandstone, a fault with fragmented rock remains and large quartz crystals, and below that a package of quartzitic sandstone. In the deepest part of the quarry, there is a thick slate with coal streaks.

Upper carbonic sandstones, such as those from the Kamp quarry, Heimans quarry, and Cottesser quarry, have been used in four farms in the area: Vernelsberg farm, Knops farm, Bellet farm, and Termoere farm.
