A former small surface Au placer deposit area located in certain portions of secs. 20, 21, 28 & 29, T.18S., R.12E., in the upper course of the Amargosa Arroyo, 6 miles West of Continental, and 6 miles SW of Twin Buttes.
Mineralization is a placer gold deposit in fine-grained gravels in an arroyo. The placer gold is associated with abundant magnetitic sand. Assay (1952) yielded 80 cents Au/ton, 0.8 oz Ag/ton, 0.5 % Pb, 0.5 % Zn.
