G. Berg (1935):
The melaphyre is always developed as amygdaloidal and, like all Paleozoic amygdaloids, is very strongly decomposed. In the quarry close to the northern edge of the map, the rock is particularly strongly decomposed. The actual rock is a small, crumbly, violet-gray mass, amygdaloidal fillings are green, tarry masses.
A calcite crystal 5 cm in diameter was reported from these rocks.
According to Google street view, within the former quarry there is a place of religious worship.
