A mine connected with the Van lode, situated about a mile to the north end of the Bryntail Mine. This mine marks the eastern limit of the Van Lode as detailed on the Geological Survey Map. Lead was first discovered on the farm around 1845 by Mr. Jarman, the resident farmer. Mr. Lefeaux worked it until 1860 when Mr. Goldsworthy took over.
