Tonwerk Friedrichssegen a. d. Lahn
Originally built and owned by the same owners as the nearby Friedrichssegen mine.

1893: the factory is built.
1898: a cable car is built from the factory to the clay pit.
1900: the factory is expanded.
1902: the factory is run a stock corporation. (The main shareholders are the former French shareholders of Bergwerks-AG).
1903: general meetings of the Tonwerk Aktiengesellschaft on July 17th and November 17th, 1903. On November 23, 1903, Tonwerks-AG was entered into the commercial register at the Royal District Court in Niederlahnstein.
1911: The factory has changed hands. It now operates under the Nassauische Tonindustrie, Gebrüder Lachs, Düren.
1912: the factory is sold to Mr Edelhof from Dortmund.
1917: the factory operates under the Ton- und Dachziegelwerk [clay and roof tile factory] Ems GmbH Friedrichssegen.
1937: the factory is managed as a limited partnership (Kommanditgesellschaft, KG).
1957: a fire breaks out in the factory.
1964: the factory is sold to the Marx company.
