Tajiguas Beach is a narrow beach on the Gaviota Coast at the mouth of Tajiguas Creek two miles west of Refugio State Beach in Santa Barbara County. It is the historical site of a Chumash Village that in 1769 spanned both sides of the mouth of Tajiguas Creek and was inhabited at that time by approximately 400-800 people though it was abandoned within the following six years.
