Warrioota banded calcite deposit
Warrioota calcite deposit consists of cyclicly (black, brown and red) banded calcite found in fracture zones of the host limestone and siltstone within the Wonoka Formation. Once worked for use as ornamental stone.
Only a small production was recorded, with known resources to a depth of approximately 2 metres, and an inferred estimated load of 108 tonnes.
