"De Kleiputten" is a nature reserve built on filled-in clay pits on 't Hoge in Kortrijk. The area is owned by the city and managed by Natuurpunt. About half consists of a nature reserve, the rest consists of a park. The reserve is only accessible with a guide. There is a nature education center "De Steenoven" at the intersection of the Schaapsdreef with the St.-Denijseweg.
The area was used for clay mining from 1923. The last brickyard closed in 1960. The city bought the land in 1989, to plant trees and shrubs in the following years.
