Development: Discovered accidentally during university of New Mexico core test drilling of castile formation. Subsequently explored by texaxco (5 drill holes, gravity survey, 1969), u.s. Borax (8 holes, geochemistry, 1986), and addwest minerals (57 holes, gravity survey, 1990-1991)
