Outcrop of volcanic rocks along a rivulet, tributary of the Posina River, below the Provincial Road SP 80 near its junction with Via Montanina ("La Montanina" locality).
Chalcedony forms centimetre-sized veins, partly as red and orange-brown colour-varieties (cornelian and sard), and banded nodules (agate) frequently containing spatic calcite and crystalline quartz in their central part.
