Old abandoned Zechstein limestone quarry, second one in the village Grodziec (Germ. Gröditz), first one was located in the future palace park. Azurite and malachite were subjected to occurrence of the limestone quarry, it is not certain in which of them. Both, on the other hand, provided fossils. Located about 250m south of the last buildings of the western part of the village, previously known as Witanówka (Germ. Wüttchenau), former name that has ceased to be used.
Note - quarry not marked among farmers fields on Mindat map, but in fact an excavation area good visible from the road, overgrown with tall trees.
