A small quarry in a zone with blue marble. The blue marble occurrs as a 3-6 m wide zone in diorite. An estimated resource of 6000 m3 of blue marble seems to be present, with blocks hardly exceeding 2 m3 in size.
Summer 1992 some blocks were taken out, and some polished slabs were produced at the NGU facility in Løkken. The potential of this deposit is considered to be very marginal due to corn-size and presence of fractures.
Additionally, the deposit has been studied as a source of calcite for industrial purposes.
