Alteration: Kaolinization, Sericitization, Of Granite

Deposit: 2-ft comb quartz vein in sericitic, kaolinized granite, with cu oxide minerals and silver sulfides. Incline sunk on banded quartz vein which may be a projection of the vein sampled in sample 3944. The vein cuts granite which is kaolinized & sericitized.

Development: Active claims in 1986, but no activity at time of examination in oct., 1986. Area is within claims formerly held and explored by freeport exploration and later phelps dodge corp, whose activity consisted of road building, geochemical sampling and some rotary drilling.
