The NGU factsheet "Gorsajoka" describes a number of small prospects in a magnetite deposit consisting of layers/lenses of 0,5-2m in width, to a maximum of 6m, over a length of ca. 1 km. According to the report there are 10 prospects (trenches) dating from the 1920's. In 1976-77 the Rana Gruber Company did further exploration work on this deposit.
