A former Zn-Ag-Pb-Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the SW¼NE¼SW¼ sec. 12, T23N, R18W, G&SRM, 2½ miles ESE of Chloride, WSW of Cherum Peak, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. Owned by Arnold Deckert (Estate), Arizona (1973). Operated by Delucci, California (1973). Operated 1901 through 1948. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a polymetallic deposit hosted in granite. The ore body is lenses in a fractured zone that strikes N30E and dips 75W. The mineralization is associated with a Late Cretaceous porphyry intrusion. Ore is lenses in a fractured zone. Sulphide ore starts at a depth of 130 feet, oxidized ore zone above that level. Precambrian schistosity strikes N30E. Veins, fissures and dikes strike NW to NNW regionally. Associated rocks include Neoproterozoic granite. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Workings include unspecified underground openings with a length of 156.97 meters and an overall depth of 60.96 meters.
