Structure: Pegmatite Dikes
Tectonics: Sangre De Cristo Uplift
Deposit: There are two pegmatite dikes that crop out on the property. Both are similar structurally and mineralogically. The dikes are not zoned and consist mostly of white feldspar and quartz. Mica books, As large As 3 inches in diameter are sparsely distributed throughout the interior of the dike. The books are more plentiful in the pegmatite near the pegmatite-schist contact. Small flakes of mica are abundant in the country rock for 15 feet or more from the contact. Discovery year: 1955-1956
