Deposit: Vein along which rhyolite is highly shattered & iron-stained and bears free-gold the claim is located one mile southeast of the st. Paul mine. Three pits are sunk on the gibson lode ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Geology: Along the vein the rhyolite is highly shattered and Fe-stained, at the bottom of one pit there is a streak of soft alterred rhyolite, Mn-oxide, and hydrous silica w/ numberous flakes of free gold.
